{What to Wear in Chicago} Go “Au Naturale”!

Au NaturaleHey! Guess what! You don’t have to go to work today. Know what else? Neither do your friends. Take this weekend and run with it. Do everything and nothing (preferably the latter) because Monday is a lot closer than you think.

3 Ways to get the Most out of this 3 Day Weekend

Eat breakfast

Remember breakfast? When’s the last time you ate an egg? No, an Egg McMuffin doesn’t count. Also, ew. Please stop eating Egg McMuffins.

Today, why not try one of the many brunch spots open during the holiday. Here is a list of my favorite. Call to check if they’re open. (I would but I’m too lazy ‘cause, you know, the weekend and stuff).

Keep the blow-dryer and curlers under the sink

This weekend, allow your hair to revert back to its healthiest state – au naturel. I received a sample from Dark and Lovely’s new Au Naturale haircare line at the Everyday People brunch last Sunday. As if they knew my personal struggle, I was sent home with their “Root to Tip Mender”. For anyone that struggles with growth (and what curly girl doesn’t) this is the product for you. It promises to promote length (woo woo!) by fighting split ends. Dark and Lovely, I have called and you have answered! Regular readers may be familiar with my personal natural hair story. Well, I’m still fighting the fine fight.

Even if your hair is permanently straightened, force yourself to wear a style that requires minimal effort. Think: ponytails and buns.

Wear a onesie

Snuggies for those binging on Netflix. Rompers for the park bound.

I picked up this little floral romper from Jayne Boutique in Forest Park. Do yourself a favor and check them out. They’re open today from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
