Not everyone is a fan of bright Popsicle like hues and full bloom painted skirts in the summertime. Some prefer black – year round. Makes sense, really. Black is always appropriate. It’s edgy yet demure, mysterious, clean, and modern. There’s never a bad time to wear black but how does one balance this dark disposition with the intense heat of summer?

First, you don’t have to be goth. This isn’t about getting moody or gloomy. The following slide show showcases black in all its wearable glory. Sometimes layered, sometimes not. Accessorized, feminine, and never too intense.
