It’s Monday, but don’t think about that. Think about this Instead!

Before we begin, I want to share with you a promotion from Target (from where I purchased these black acid jeans). Details on Insta.

It’s Monday morning – again. You knew it was coming and it’s here. Are you ready? The answer to that question is a confident yes, by the way. You are ready. You are more than ready. You are eager. Eager to optimistically stomp into work, looking your best, feeling like crap, with a gallon of coffee in your hand and dreams of completing something significant.

I, on the other hand, am not ready for this Monday.

That’s mostly because this, as we all know, is Lollapalooza week and all I can think about is what I will wear and who I will see at the three day music festival. Basically, I’m my 6th grade self the night before the first day of school. In fact, my backpack’s packed and my outfit is hanging prominently on my bedroom door – oh, and it’s pure fire! A fest ready summer dress made of gold lamé and feathers, to match my full out Cherokee chief headgear.

Just kidding. I have no idea what I’m going to wear.

Anyway, this week we’re breaking down the minutia of planning for summertime Chi’s biggest closing act (still talking about Lolla, ya’ll): Which shoes to wear so as to not cause permanent damage to your dogs, what to pack so as to avoid having half of your bag’s contents trashed by security, what you’re wearing (which will help me figure out what I’m wearing), so on and so forth. There are also a few bands you may not have heard of that will be playing at the fest and around town this week. We’ll talk about them too.

This ultimate guide to Lollapalooza will culminate into 2-3 articles where I give my firsthand experience as first-timer to the fest (gasp! How shameful). Stick around for that this weekend.

Up next: 30 Shoes that will Keep Your Feet Comfy and Cute at Lolla. (No, these stilettos aren’t one of them!)
