Logan Square Arts Festival 2016

When: Friday, June 24th-26th; Friday 5 p.m. – 10 p.m.; Saturday & Sunday Noon – 10 p.m.
Where: Illinois Centennial Monument, 3150 W. Logan Blvd, Chicago, IL 60647
Why: The festival features live music on two stages, live art from some of Chicago’s best-known street artists, pop-up exhibitions in local businesses, an expanded family area, craft cocktails from the Whistler, and beer from Logan Square’s own Revolution Brewing. A portion of every gate donation will once again benefit Logan Square Preservation’s efforts to restore and maintain the Illinois Centennial Monument on Logan Square.

Elston Avenue Sausage & Music Fest 2016

When: Saturday, June 25th – Sunday, June 26th; Noon – 10 p.m.
Where: 3800 N. Elston Avenue, Chicago, IL 60618
Why: Encased meats will again be in the spotlight at this second annual fest just a few blocks north of the busy intersection of Addison Street and Elston Avenue. Held in front of the acclaimed music venue that is the Abbey Pub, it’s truly a crowd-pleasing community party in one of Chicago’s most stable and vibrant neighborhoods.
Adding to the weekend’s happenings will be an eclectic indie music lineup, arts & crafts and activities for kids.
