This shame show occurs in front of a growing line of apathetic drivers, including myself.

I’ll admit, in the ten years I’ve lived and worked in Chicago, my taste for suburban living has changed. Driving home after a night in the city, something I once did on a regular, now seems a catastrophic waste of time. Why not just live in Wicker Park or Logan Square? Club couch is my current hangout of choice. I have a cat now. Moreover, a husband. I call this period of life my The Homebody-ing. It is a time for binge-watching and ordering weekly dinner kits for no one to cook. It’s college with a 401K.
Strangely enough, Homebody-ing has caused within me a desire for city living. To have my favorite restaurant, bakery, and bodega just steps away from my door, under a glorious skyline, this is the dream.
With renewed interest in downtown life, I am now reevaluating my choice to ‘burb. Won’t you join me?
