Hey Bae, Let’s Makeup! The Makeup Show Finally Comes to Chicago

The Makeup Show

What is The Makeup Show?

A superior pro-driven makeup conference is coming to Chicago this weekend and you should know about it.

Why Should I Care?

This is a great opportunity to learn new techniques and get some help mastering everyday cosmetic moves (hello cat eye!). Plus, there will be new product launches and exclusive discounts for attendees. For pros, the makeup show is the place to network and play nice with industry big names.

But I don’t wear Makeup

If your style is more bare than beat, sample some colors and brands without the commitment of purchasing full product sizes.

I’m busy this Weekend

The makeup show runs all day Saturday and Sunday. Use the map below to make the best use of your time and avoid spending the entire day playing in paint. Unless, of course, that’s exactly what you’d like to do which, in that case, rock on!

The Makeup Show

The top 5 moments I’m looking forward to:

Sunday June 8th, 2:30pm to 4pm: Amazing sci-fi makeup artist, and Chicagoland resident, Anthony Kosar will be there sharing industry tips and favorite techniques.

Saturday June 7th, 12:30pm to 2pm: Pati Duroff is a big deal. Her clients include Miley Cyrus, Gisele Bundchen, and Charlize Theron to name only a few. She’ll be showing attendees firsthand how to apply the ideal celebrity beat. Don’t miss this!

Saturday June 7th, 10:30am to 12pm: The amazing Renny Vasquez, whose clients include Kelly Rowland and Gabrielle union, shares a few tips of the trade. Also, don’t miss this!

Both Saturday and Sunday: An exclusive photo gallery will feature a behind-the-scenes look at celebrity makeup artist Kevyn Aucoin and photos from his personal life. Aucoin died in 2002, leaving behind an inspiring work of artistic achievement.

One product unveiling I can’t wait to see:

Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics will be bringing “Tarred and Feathered” to Chicago for the first time!  Don’t miss their booth to pick up this popular product. It’s sure to sell out! “Tarred” balm veils the lips with sheer black, giving subtle definition, while “Feathered” balm creates a gesso-like blank canvas, allowing other lip products to read more true to color.
