Beer Under Glass, Chicago Craft Beer Week Kickoff
When: Thursday May 18th at 5:30 p.m. Chicago Craft Beer Week runs Thursday, May 18th – Thursday, May 25th.
Where: Beer Under Glass: Garfield Park Conservatory
Why: Craft beer takes over the city for one week, with hundreds of events to choose from. Beer Under Glass is the kick off to CCBW hosted by the Illinois Craft Brewers Guild and Garfield Park Conservatory Alliance. Enjoy samples from over 100 different breweries, offering over 200 craft beers at the Garfield Park Conservatory! Admission = $60.

(The New) Gilt Sample Sale 2017
When: Friday, May 19th (two shopping sessions) and Saturday, May 20th (four shopping sessions)

Mayfest
When: Friday, May 19th from 5 p.m. – 10 p.m.; Saturday and Sunday, May 20th and 21st from 10 a.m. – 10 p.m.
Where: 3100 N Ashland, Chicago, IL
Why: Chicago’s Mayfest is the annual kick-off event for our summer festival season. The main stage is set up under a BIG-TOP tent, and features a beer garden offering some of the best (ice cold) beverages. This event is known for showcasing some of the best music, entertainment, and cuisine in all of Chicago.

Admission is only $10 and is conveniently located at Ashland Ave & Barry, in Chicago. The Paulina stop on the Brown Line is only a couple blocks away.

Lincoln Park Wine Festival
When: Saturday and Sunday, May 20th and 21st from noon to 5:00 p.m.
Where: Jonquil Park, 1001 W. Wrightwood Ave, Chicago, IL
Why: Vinous lovers unite! Spring will be in full swing when the glorious grape, as well as smooth tunes, artisans and tasty edibles, take center stage at this 3rd annual wine happening. Lincoln Park Wine Fest will again transform the tranquil northside pocket park into an open-air market featuring wine and food pavilions. The highlight will be ticketed wine tastings where scores of varietals will be showcased.

Within the park’s two acres, wine connoisseurs will also appreciate hearing the expertise of brand ambassadors and sommeliers. And enhancing the fest will be a chilled live music lineup, food-wine pairings, fine artists, and the products/services of wine-related vendors.

4th Annual battle of the breweries 2017 Dodgeball Tournament
When: Sunday, May 21st at 2:00 p.m.
Where: Goose Island Barrel House, 603 N. Sacramento, Chicago, IL 60612
Why: It brings Chicago craft breweries and beer lovers together in Goose Island’s backyard, the Goose Island Barrel House. It’s a celebration of Chicago Craft Beer Week – and benefits a great cause.

At its core, Battle of the Breweries is a single elimination dodgeball tournament. It features 32 competing Chicagoland breweries, all seeking dodgeball supremacy. For the fourth year in a row, 100% of the proceeds from the event benefit Special Olympics Illinois.

Tickets $25 – 100% of the proceeds will benefit Special Olympics Illinois www.soill.org
