Chicago may not be thought of as a fashion capital compared to greats like Paris and New York, but these fashion bloggers prove the Chi knows its way around an epaulet. You won’t see many body-con dresses or cowboy boots over here. Over here, we slay (all day)! (Photos: All photos taken from the apropos Instagram account or blog.)
Rosie Clayton (RClayton): Rosie isn’t just the ruler of colors, shapes, and KILLER fashion on Insta. This girl comes with receipts. Her boutique, Roslyn, was a Bucktown favorite for almost a decade. Currently, she has her sights set on opening a craft cocktail bar because… well, why not do it all?
Hayet (Hayet.Rida): With nearly 20k followers and only a little over 500 photos, it’s easy to see where Hayet is heading — (fashion) world domination! Ladylike silhouettes is what she’s known for. Get into it.
Blake Von D (BlakeVonD): This law grad only recently started calling Chicago home. With her she brings a modeling background and high fashion influences, making people watching in our town just a tad more pleasurable.
Nancy (FancyNancista): Chicago shares Nancy with the West Coast, but we don’t mind. Her approachable vibe and true-to-herself aesthetic provides enough fashion fodder to go around.
Helen Berkun (Helen_Berkun): Helen has her hand in many areas of fashion from professional styling to photography. Even during her final trimester, she slays, doing so often dipped head-to-toe in Chanel.
Nakea (NakeaLavee): I actually wish Nakea was a little more active on social media. Her style is earthy, refreshing, naturally chic. She’s not trying too hard. Still, each shot she takes seems confidently editorial.
Kori (TheChicagolite): Scrolling through her feed, you can’t help but smile with Kori. As she hops around the city, attending the hottest events and providing a behind the scenes peek with celebrity interviews and photos, she seems completely unaware of her striking presence. It’s endearing, and to its core, Midwestern.
Patrick (the_outfitter): It may be a man’s world but fashion blogging is a woman’s country. Not all men can hang with the big girls. To his credit, Patrick’s style is assertive yet approachable, unapologetically masculine. His specialty is tailored suits and Italian shoes.
Shai (DrunkonShoes): A collaboration with Coach? Asos? Free People? It’s a regular thing for this blogger. Her keen style has caught the eye of big brands and fashion world wannabes. Follow her adventures (especially during NYFW) on Snapchat. Did we also mention she’s incredibly humble and fun to be around? Gotta love Chicago!
