From day one, Chicagoings Daily has been bragging relentlessly about Chi’s indie fashion and business scene. Our town is a mecca of independent expression and creativity but few designers and artisans possess enough capital to get their work off the ground and into our homes. That’s where Etsy comes in; the online marketplace featuring thousands of handmade goods shipped directly from the creator’s door to yours. If you’re one of the few people who’ve never purchased anything from the site, think of it as a tailored Ebay – less trash, less wholesale, more quality, and more exclusivity. What’s more, Etsy is where vintage hunters post their latest finds while offering them to you at a fraction of the item’s original cost.
One of my favorite fashion sites, Refinery 29, posted a list today featuring 30 amazing goods from Chicago’s very own Etsy dealers. The list is smart, concise, and each item is guaranteed not to break the bank. To check out the full article click here!
