32ND CHICAGO LATINO FILM FESTIVAL

Why: The Chicago Latino Film Festival (CLFF) is produced every April by the International Latino Cultural Center of Chicago (ILCC), a pan-Latino, nonprofit, multidisciplinary arts organization dedicated to developing, promoting and increasing awareness of Latino culture among Latinos and other communities by presenting a wide variety of art forms.

SPIN TO BREAK THE CYCLE BY WORLD SPORT CHICAGO
When: Saturday, April 9th. 7:30a – 4:30p

Why: Ready to Pedal? World Sport Chicago will return to the House of Blues on Saturday, April 9th for the third annual Spin to Break the Cycle charity spinathon. The benefit is a high-energy, indoor cycling event that challenges participants to get active for programs that have proven to make an impact on building stronger, safer communities across Chicago. On April 9th, nearly 1,000 Chicagoans including some surprise guest appearances of Chicago celebrities will jump on a bike for an entry-level workout with one goal – breaking the cycle of violence in Chicago.
This event takes working out to a whole new level. Picture this: 100 spin bikes fill the House of Blues concert hall and top spin instructors from around the city lead and encourage participants during 7 hours of energetic spin workouts. Bike wheels will not be the only things spinning…a live dj will be playing high-energy playlists.

LAUNCH 2016 – DRIVING FASHION FORWARD

This 5th annual event will be held on Sunday, April 10th and attracts philanthropists, fashion and luxury car enthusiasts. Launch 2016: Driving Fashion Forward is an exciting spring fashion preview featuring designs from some of the North Shore’s finest boutiques, a trunk show opportunity for guests to shop before and after the show and an investment in the fashion industry’s future with an emerging student design competition with Columbia College Chicago. This year the stylish “iconic” fashion event will benefit the charitable works of The Glenview Women’s Club.
