When: Wednesday, July 8th – Sunday, July 12th; 11 a.m. – 9 p.m. Wednesday – Friday, 10 a.m. – 9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday

Why you may want to attend: The world’s largest food festival, Taste of Chicago is synonymous with summertime. People come from all over the country to sample dishes presented by area restaurants and chefs. Local designers, such as Anna Hovet who is one of our favorites, and a special presentation by Afrobella for African Fashion Week will also be on hand for your style consuming pleasure.
Special musical guests this year include Weezer (tonight), Erykah Badu (Thursday), and Maz featuring Frankie Beverly (Sunday).
Admission is free. Concert tickets are available for purchase if you wish to be inside of the Petrillo Music Shell. Without a ticket, you are free to view the concert at a distance from the lawn area.

Ruido Fest
When: Friday, July 10th – Sunday, July 12th
Where: 1301 W. 14th Street (Pilsen)
Why you may want to attend: This festival is somewhat of a big deal for the Latin post-punk, hip-hop, and EDM music community. It’s the very first of its kind. Rising stars and established artists will share multiple stages over the span of 3 days. Café Tacuba will be headlining.

Windy City Smokeout

Why you may want to attend: Barbeque. Country Bands. Beer.

Roscoe Village Burger Fest
When: Saturday, July 11th – Sunday, July 12th; 11 a.m. – 10 p.m.
Where: Belmont between Damen & Oakley
Why you may want to attend: Chicago’s professional burger joints compete for bragging rights over two days. Live music on two stages accompanies the fight for best food.
