Kinky people, this is especially for you! I have to honestly share with you what happened when I tried Dove’s new line of hair products for the first time.

I’m currently trying to grow out my hair. I’ve been keeping it short for years in an effort to maintain its health and fullness. It was brought to my attention, however, that if I put the proper time into caring for (and not just styling) my hair, I could add inches while still keeping my ends moisturized and my strands strong. I’m testing that theory now. If you want to see semi-monthly growth updates, just let me know and we’ll make it happen.

In my previous hair confessional, I admitted I’ve been through a lot of products lately. When I finally settle on a winning combination, I’ll be sure to share which products have truly stood the test of time. I think I just found two permanent additions to my hair arsenal.

Dove Quench
Dove Quench Absolute Shampoo

After two washes, it left my hair soft and clean without feeling overly dry.

Dove Quench Absolute Conditioner

It’s easy to find a good conditioner; it’s hard to find a great one. This is a great conditioner. Not only does it smell amazing, as is typical with Dove products, but it also had the “slick effect” that I look for in a conditioner. It’s that feeling when the hair feels slippery and moisturized to the max after a conditioning treatment. That feeling tells me the product is doing its job. Verdict: I LOVE it!

Dove Quench Absolute Intense Restoration Mask

This mask acts as a deep moisturizing aid and didn’t weigh down my hair.

Dove Quench Absolute Crème Serum

I used it as a leave-in conditioner, and loved it.

I’ll continue using this line to see how my hair reacts over time, and I’ll be sure to keep you guys updated!
