The Chicago International Film Festival

Why you may want to attend: Now entering its 50th year, the Chicago International Film Festival has long been canonized as one of the city’s cultural institutions. It features the work of filmmakers from all over the world in over 150 films. The Chicago Tribune is saving us all some research with this, their list of the 10 best.

The Art of Fashion Runway Show
When: Friday, October 17th. Cocktail reception from 6:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. Runway Show at 7:30 p.m.
Where: Millennium Park – Chase Promenade North, 201 E. Randolph St.
Why you may want to attend: As the highlight of Chicago Fashion Week, The Art of Fashion runway show is going 8 years strong. Expect Chicago’s top designers to come prepared with only their best. My favorites Shernett Swaby of SWABY and Calvin Tran will be in great company as designers featured in this year’s show.

Get Fit with Nic and Lacuna Fitness
