R&B artist Daley in Chicago

Daley, The Acoustic Tour

When: Friday, November 21st

Where: Thalia Hall, 1807 S Allport St.

Why you may want to attend: Check out our featured interview with the recording artist here.

“Fusing R&B/Soul aesthetics he grew up on (from Prince’s funky fervor to D’Angelo’s neo-soul) with sparse electro-ambient stylings, he effectively captures this generation’s sonic amalgam. While his palette’s rooted in the classics, he pushes music forward with a sound beyond his years. “It’s soulful at its core and in terms of sound and production, the album reflects me and my influences — a combination of US and UK sounds,” he details. Tackling the everyday has never sounded so sensuous.” This show is part of Daley’s acoustic tour.

Loviefests

When: During the Bears vs. Buccaneers game. Noon, Sunday, November 23rd.

Where: Soldier Field

Why you may want to attend: Buc’s coach Lovie Smith returns to his beloved Bears during a time when they could really use his (or anyone’s) help. Some are extremely excited about seeing their ex again. Others are not. Say what you will, but the entire game is sure to be pretty awkward on and off the field.
