Chicago Ideas Week
October 12, 2015 - October 18, 2015
Chicago Ideas is a movement built on one core belief: When a broad spectrum of thinkers and instigators share ideas, we have the power to transform our world. Becoming a part of this movement is as easy as purchasing a ticket, becoming a Member or Partner, or volunteering at events.
Talks, Labs, Conversations, Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner—with over 160 events to choose from.
The average CIW attendee goes to three to five events and signs up for a mix of Talks, intimate Conversations and hands-on Labs. So, where should you look first?
Talks are 90-minute, electrifying events, each featuring four to six exceptional speakers presenting compelling ideas around a particular theme. Evening talks during CIW are our most popular, with world-renowned thought leaders delving into topics like Creative Process, Politics and Entrepreneurship.
Conversations are hour-long programs featuring two to four speakers who provide an in-depth, up-to-the-minute look at timely and provocative topics with an opportunity for audience Q&A. Past topics have ranged from Design Thinking to the Art of the Pitch.
For a small-group experience, we suggest Labs, which take you behind-the-scenes at Chicago organizations including IDEO, Ignite Glass, Lifeway Foods, Millennium Park and more.
Finally, at Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner, you join an intimate group of the intellectually curious at a themed dinner hosted by a surprise guest—anyone from author Thomas Dyja to musician Jon Batiste.
