Merit School of Music Gala

Merit’s annual Gala is the largest fund raising event of the year featuring performances by Merit’s students. The 2016 Alice S. Pfaelzer Award for Distinguished Service to the Arts will be presented to Anthony and Demarre McGill, principal clarinet and flute of the New York Philharmonic and Dallas Symphony Orchestra, respectively, and their parents, Ira Carol and Demarre McGill. The McGill brothers are remarkable Merit alums who have achieved remarkable success in the world of classical musical performance.
