Spin to Break the Cycle by World Sport Chicago

Ready to Pedal? World Sport Chicago will return to the House of Blues on Saturday, April 9^th for the third annual Spin to Break the Cycle charity spinathon. The benefit is a high-energy, indoor cycling event that challenges participants to get active for programs that have proven to make an impact on building stronger, safer communities across Chicago. On April 9th, nearly 1,000 Chicagoans including some surprise guest appearances of Chicago celebrities will jump on a bike for an entry-level workout with one goal – breaking the cycle of violence in Chicago.

This event takes working out to a whole new level.  Picture this: 100 spin bikes fill the House of Blues concert hall and top spin instructors from around the city lead and encourage participants during 7 hours of energetic spin workouts. Bike wheels will not be the only things spinning…a live dj will be playing high-energy playlists.

Individuals and teams are invited to take the challenge to pedal their way to raise funds for the important work of World Sport Chicago choosing to do an one-hour workout or go the distance and spin for three hours! World Sport Chicago will provide the tools, tips and your own custom fundraising page through Classy to collect donations online.

Besides a rewarding workout, participants will enjoy prizes, a stylish event shirt, swag bag and more. Spin to Break the Cycle takes over all three floors of the House of Blues, providing a memorable experience both on and off the bike. Highlights of the activities off the bike include:

• THE REJUVENTAION provides a dedicated area of post-spin relaxation featuring free massage, pampering and more.
• THE RECEPTION brings the participants and crew (general attendees) together to celebrate. This area takes the experience to yet another level featuring a complimentary drink and appetizer buffet, spectator lounges, prizes, and more.
• THE REWARDS give participants a way to go beyond the satisfaction making a difference and provides an opportunity to earn exciting rewards like airline certificates, sports tickets and exclusive experiences.

World Sport Chicago teaches positive values and leadership through sport in Chicago. Spin to Break the Cycle benefits two main programs B.A.M Becoming A Man (Sports Edition) and the Athlete Ambassador Program in underserved neighbors.

Spin to Break the Cycle

TIME: Doors open at 7:30am with the first session beginning at 8:00am and a new session begins every hour through 2:00pm. The event ends at 4:30pm.

COST: Spin Participant Spot is a $30 registration fee per person with a $300 fundraising minimum
