The handbag, that obscure sign of membership into our club of womanhood, is the last real piece of female identity in today’s world of ‘metro’ men. As a kid, I couldn’t wait to have a purse of my own in which to place my collection of Bonne Bell lip stuffs. Now, it’s Chanel and MAC but nothings really changed. I love my handbags more than anything else in my closet – save for the shoes.

That said, it’s understandable why we’re starting this week of favorites with the most coveted accessory of all, the handbag.
