ALS Association Greater Chicago Chapter Presents the First–Ever IronHorse Awards
at the IronHorse Ball March 10th
Event honors people living with ALS, Cutthroat Kitchen Champion Chef Fabio Viviani and others who have displayed the same formidable IronHorse characteristics as Lou Gehrig
WHO: The ALS Association Greater Chicago Chapter (GCC)) introduces a new fundraiser to benefit the fight against ALS and those living with the disease which has no known cause or cure, and no survivors. The event combines a grand reception along with presentation of the IronHorse Awards honoring two patients living with ALS, Cutthroat Kitchen Champion Fabio Viviani, Siena Tavern, and an NFL representative. The event also offers live entertainment, chef tasting stations, specialty beverages and live/silent auctions.
WHAT: Every 90 seconds someone is diagnosed with ALS. Every 90 minutes someone loses their battle. ALS, Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, often called Lou Gehrig’s disease, is an incurable disease, with no survivors. The disease attacks the nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord that control voluntary muscle movement. ALS robs individuals of the ability to walk, talk and eventually breathe. It is always fatal.
At the IronHorse Ball, guests gathered beneath the largest Tiffany glass dome in the world will enjoy live entertainment by Michael Hutchins, tastings stations from Siena Tavern, Balana, Heaven on Seven, Cyrano’s Farm Kitchen, Tavern on Rush, 676 Restaurant + Bar, Iron Horse Bar & Grill, Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts, Troquet, BlackFinn Rosebud, Prosecco, and beverage stations from Lagunitas , Heaven Hill Distilleries, Tito’s, Revolution Brewing, Zignum Mezcal and Two Brothers.
