For the Nail Art Obsessed: Afrobella Gives Us a Peek at Trends to Come

Chicago blogger extraordinaire and public speaker Afrobella (government: Patrice Grell Yursik) has been making moves and doing thangs since the dawn of brown beauty blogging. I’ve always admired her range in writing, her knowledge as a beauty blogger, and her ability to inspire others through her story. As the latest contributing editor for Glam.com the Trinidadian beaut is now letting girls of all colors know what’s hot in the world of beauty and fashion.

Nail art is a passion of mine and, from the feedback I receive to Chicagoings’ weekly Weekend Ready Manicure segment, I know you too love a great manicure design. But if you think Nail Art is a trend, maybe better suited for the hood or urban demographic, think again! Afrobella is setting up class at Glam.com and giving lessons on nail paint history, from the Incas to the flappers of the ‘20s to a Sephora near you. Great fashion may seem innovative but it’s rarely original.
